CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte is no longer under mandatory water restrictions. The restrictions lasted nearly six months. Monday’s change comes following a determination by the Catawba-Wateree Drought Management Advisory Group, which considers lake levels, stream flow and other drought indicators.
Charlotte Water still encourages people to reduce non-essential water use as the region’s water supply continues to recover.
